About Us

Hey there!

We're Bridget and Jake, high school sweethearts from Richmond, Virginia. From the time we met, we've had a passion for exploring new places and experiencing new things. Now, we're living our dream and traveling full time. In September 2020, we packed our bags, loaded the car, and hit the road to drive cross-country to California, a long way from home, for Jake's first travel assignment. What started as a one-time opportunity turned into an ongoing adventure, and we've been on the road ever since. Jake is a travel physical therapist, while Bridget is a former teacher turned remote learning pro, and Jake's job takes us all over the country, allowing us to live and work in new places, meet new people, and see new things, all while discovering ourselves along the way. Our ultimate goal is to see as much of the world as possible and make the most of our time on the road before going back home to start a family. That's why we've created Team Brake Adventures, a space where we can share some of our favorite experiences from our travels with fellow adventurers like you.
